Synopsis :
In Haripur, lived a widow with two sons, Ganga and Jamuna. One day, Ganga finds an empty box outside of Zamindar's house, but is accused of theft. Then, Ganga takes a job to help pay for his brother's education. He falls in love with Dhanno, Jamuna falls for Kamla, the Zamindar's daughter. One day, Hariram tries to force himself on Dhanno, but he blames Ganga and sends him to jail. Upon his release from jail, he marries Dhanno, and they're about to have a child. He decides to give up himself from illegal life, and to surrender to Jamuna who is an officer. Then, dacoits injure his wife, Dhanno. Now, Ganga kills Hariram and burns his house. It is the day of reckoning for Ganga, and moment of decision for Jamuna.
