Synopsis :
"BEWAFA" is a film which tells the story of changing mores and values in a fast changing world. Anjali (Kareena Kapoor) is the young, vibrant daughter of an Indian father (Kabir Bedi) and Canadian mother (Nafisa Ali) living in the city of Montreal, Quebec. Torn between her love for a budding musician (Akshay Kumar) and her dead sister Aarti (Sushmita Sen), she chooses to marry her much older & mature brother in law Aditya (Anil Kapoor), and migrates to New Delhi - India with her husband and newly born nieces, whose mother has passed away on their birth. Anjali fulfills every role asked for her society but cannot bridge the gap between herself and Aditya. By the time Aditya wakes up to reality Anjali has embarked on to an extra marital affair with her past lover Raja, who is now a huge fusion singer. How Anjali negotiates her relationships with Aditya & Raja as also Dil & Pallavi (Manoj Bajpai & Shamita Shetty), who are her husband Aditya's best friends & confidantes, forms the basis for the second act of "BEWAFA".
