Synopsis :
This family saga entails the travails of a rich heiress Sumitra (Raakhee Gulzar), who kills her own lover, Sudershan (Suresh Oberoi) after discovering his evil face, but bears his child. She gets separated from her son, who grows up to be Anand (Mithun Chakraborty). Due to a misunderstanding, Sumitra starts looking after her servant Bhola's daughter Anu (Rati Agnihoti) as her own child. Sumitra also evokes the ire of the evil Natwar (Ranjeet) who seeks revenge. Anand's foster mother (Seema Deol) tells him that Sumitra has killed her husband Sudersan. Anand vows to put Sumitra behind the bars and ensnare Anu with his love to target Sumitra. A misunderstanding is created between mother and daughter; as well as between mother and son. Will Sumitra surrender to the police? Wil the son Anand ever know that Sumitra is his real mother? Will Sumitra accept that Anu is not her child? Will Sumitra win the battle against her enemies?
