Synopsis :
Industrialist tycoon Kailash Nath Malhotra is proud of his only son Anand(Akshay Kumar). After returning from abroad, during a marriage Anand sees a glimpse of an extremely beautiful girl. But if a girl knows that she is beautiful and at the same time if she is mischevious too, she will never reciprocate the feelings and rightly Sapna(Karishma Kapoor) did.

Entangled with the thin thread of love, Anand along with his freind Mahesh(Laxmikant Berde) followed Sapna to Chandapur. Jigsaw of young love and pace of time force Sapna to give thought to Anands overtures. Finally, when Anand pushed himself into the well of death to save Sapna, she could not resist anymore and took hand into hand, eyes into eyes and heart into heart. Both were flying with the harmony of love and love turning into vows of togetherness. Simultaneously, Mahesh and Sheila saw each other, loved and got married. Sapnas mother Gayatri Saxena(Tanuja) was also ready to get them married but refused blatantly on hearing Anands fathers name - Why ?

Sapna was never told that her father was behind the bars in the jail - Why?

Gayatri Saxena was living the life of a widow -Why ?

Anand was forced to stand opposite his father in the court of law - Why?
