Synopsis : "A light-hearted tale of make-believe romance leading to an unbelievable mystery" would be an apt description of 'SAJAN'.This may appear a strange way to begin a synopsis. But then 'SAJAN' itself is a stanger-than-fiction affair, vastly different from any other story you have seen before on the Indian screen. And a different film deserves a different kind of synopsis.Ashok, an angry young industrialist storms into the make-up room of a charming young danse use Rajni to slam a defamation suit on her because she has given a false news of her romance with him. Before he can so much as let his steam off, he is mistaken for a press reporter. The danseuse begins narrating the story of her make-believe romance with a young industrialist, little knowing that the listener himself is her "dream boy".
On his part, the listener doesn't have even a nodding acquaintance with the girl and hence listens to her story with rapt attention, bewildered gradually charmed by the narrator.No wonder instead of dragging the girl to the court as he had set out to do, the young industrialist decide in course of time to somehow drag her to the marital altar. There is, however, many a slip 'tween the cup and the lip and fate starts taking sweeping turns and twists to upset their marriage plan and eventually haul up both lovers on a murder charge. What follows now is a succession of surprise twists culminating into the most intriguing climax.
