Synopsis :
Rajkumar presents the vicissitudes faced by the crown prince Rajkumar(Shammi Kapoor) on his return from abroad. While the king(Prithviraj) prepares to celebrate the occasion, the commander Narpath Singh(Pran) conspires with the prince's step mother, who is his own sister, to kill the prince.

The assasination plot however leaks out to Rajkumar in time & he tries to counter it in his own way. Feigning to be half wit, he comes clowning in the durbar. Narpath Singh even shoots him, but Rajkumar escapes. Narpath kills a leading chieftain and implicates rajkumar & Sangita(Sadhna) the cheiftains daughetr has to avenge her fathers death. But Rajkumar meets in disguise and they fall in love. How they are united forms the rest of the story.
