Synopsis :
Pakistan and India : Two brothers living on opposite sides of a line. A line drawn through the heart of a united nation over 50 years ago. It's been 50 years since partition. And in these 50 years Pakistan has fought three wars with India. War only destroys, ruins, devastates, nothing positive has over come out of war. Nothing ever will. Indian army intelligence hand picks some of their most capable and brave officers for a special mission to gather substantial and irrefutable evidence against terrorism in India, but even before the mission takes off, the chosen officers are ruthlessly murdered one by one. Army intelligence uses all its power to detect the killer but fails. Meanwhile Ajay Malhotra (Ajay Devgan), a popular Novelist whose sensational novels have a great following around the country comes under the scrutiny of the Indian Army. Army intelligence discovers that Ajay's novel recounts in details not just the names and mission of the murdered officers, but even the gruesome and closely guarded details about each murder! How does Ajay Malhotra know every minute detail about each and every murder? Army intelligence is aghast and immediately arrests Ajay Malhotra, and detain him for interrogation. When faced with no solutions the Army brings in Dr.Dastoor (Kader Khan), a psychoanalyst to help bring light to the case. When faced with the truth discovered during the session with Dr.Dastoor, how will Ajay react? What will be the Indian Army's next step? Will Kabira (Amitabh Bachchan), a retired Army officer and friend of Ajay's martyed father (Navin Nischol) have to come out of retirement to help the Indian Army. What follows is the united effort of Kabira. Ajay and the Army to seek the person responsible for spreading terrorism and hatred in the minds and hearts of people on both sides of the border.
