Synopsis :
Tushar's launch pad film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai says about unspoken love. Basically, a family of its own, of which Karan (Tushar Kapoor) is the only son, who spends more time in the canteen than in classrooms. He's the drummer of his college band, hangs around with dumb cronies, speak Bombay lingo in and scores 36 per cent in exams. Being the youngest in his family, he's pampered rotten by his indulgent Tauji (Amrish Puri) and mom (Himani Shivpuri). But his dad (Dalip Tahil) just chews his head off all the time. Ria (Rinke Khanna), Tushar's dominating elder sister, studying to become a doctor.
Puja (Kareena Kapoor), an NRI who comes down to India. She's staying with her Uncle (Alok Nath) and cousins. She is here to do some research in Indian tradition and culture. She becomes a regular at Karan's house and wins everyone's heart, besides Karan's, of course. It was love at first sight for Karan, but he struggles to express his love to Puja. His uncle and sister always help him on how to approach her and convey her his love for her.
Film's strength is basically the songs, the music (Anu Malik) is foot-tapping stuff., they've been picturised (Johny Lal) and choreographed (Ahmed Khan) in the picturesque New Zealand and in Delhi. Kareena looks fantastic in her role, she's worn some fab outfits. Her wardrobe (by Manish Malhotra) is so hip, and Tushar with a few flaws, carries himself good also.
Actually. Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai is a clean family entertainer. Don't miss the ending, though!
